    Welcome to the very first 27dinner of 2012 in the Mother City. This time we have organised a new venue in town + have 3 speakers lined up.

    If you haven't been before look forward to an evening of inspiring talks and superb conversation with smart and talented web, mobile, media and marketing people.

    The event will be held at Cape Towns favourite Mexican restaurant, El Burro,  in Green point, (Directions here)

    The evening will start at 6:30pm for 7:00pm on the 27th February.

     

    This 27dinner will feature talks from Helga Letowt-Vorbek founder of Mantaray and SA leader of the UX Alliance. Ahmed Kajee founder and MD of CellSmart, and to round off the list Desmond Kurz MD of online gaming at MWEB.

    Food will be available for meat lovers and hippies (veggies), so all are welcome!

    The Talks:

    • Helga Letowt-Vorbek: Will be sharing some tips on User experience design.
    • Ahmed Kajee: Will be teaching us about Mobile trends for 2012
    • Desmond Kurz: Will be talking about the opportunities for technology through gaming

  • 27dinner Cape Town (55) 27 Movember 2011

    This is likely to be the last 27dinner of 2011 so we are going to make it a good one. If you haven't been before look forward to an evening of inspiring talks and superb conversation with smart and talented web, mobile, media and marketing people.

    The event will be held at The Wild Fig, we will change the venue next time round but for this month it is the only place were we can keep the event free for everyone. (Directions here)

    The evening will start at 6:30pm for 7:00pm on the 27th Movember.

    This 27dinner will feature talks from Matthew Buckland founder of Creative Spark and popular tech news site Memeburn. The other speaker is English gent Dan Pinch who heads up the Social Media division at King James called Society.

    Food will be available for meat lovers and hippies (veggies), so all are welcome!

    The Talks:

    • Matthew Buckland: Matt will be sharing with us his future predictions for tech and web trends.
    • Dan Pinch: Will be telling us how to make your brand do incredibly well online next year .

    This 27 Dinner will feature talks from Dave Duarte from UCT Graduate School of Business, and Jess Green from UbuntuDeal.

    Food will be available for meat lovers and hippies (veggies), so all are welcome!

    The Talks:

    • Dave Duarte: For the first time one of the 27 dinners founders will give a talk rather than host the event! Dave will be chatting about Nomadic Leadership. Nomadic Leadership is about teaching companies and individuals how to engage the attention of consumers in our increasingly digitally distracted world.
    • Jess Green: Jess is the MD of UbuntuDeal that was recently acquired by bidorbuy.co.za. He will be chatting about the trend of GroupBuying.

    Look forward to an evening of inspiring talks and superb conversation with smart and talented web, mobile, media and marketing people.

    The event will be at the Wild Fig, one of our favourite 27 dinner locations, starting at around 6 for 6.30pm till late (click here for directions).

    This 27 Dinner will feature talks from Yuppiechef, Twangoo, and Intel.

    Thanks to Intel there will also be a bit of a bar tab for us all + some giveaways.

    Food will be available for meat lovers and hippies (vegies), so all are welcome!

    The Talks:

    • Ntombezinhle Modiselle: The wonderful marketing lady from Intel will be giving a short talk on an SA tech perspective of mobile, and a sneak peak of what's coming in the future from Intel.
    • Daniel Guasco and Wayne Gosling: The two founders of Twangoo who were recently bought by Groupon will be discussing social commerce and group buying.
    • Paul Galatis: Partner of Yuppiechef will be talking on how customer service can change the world, + a little bit on ecommerce.
